A free chance to stop, savour and understand some of York’s history and often missed gems.
It’s not always easy when shopping or dashing between attractions to stop, take a breath and simply absorb the wealth of York’s heritage. These informal two-hour walking tours of the city cost nothing and are led by enthusiastic voluntary guides who certainly know their stuff. Stops along the way include The Shambles, Museum Gardens, York Minster and The Treasurer’s House.
A number of more specialist walks are also available covering specific periods in the city’s history. Visit the York Visitor Information Centre (contact details are on my [node: 174616]) page.
