Touristy, but tranquil strip of beach surrounded by virgin pine forest.
Many consider this to be the finest beach in Majorca. I don’t agree, mainly because you’ve got a great hulking hotel right in the middle of it, but you can’t knock the fineness of the sand, and the calm, shallow waters. Because of the hotel it tends to be full of tourists, but you can escape by following the cliff path to the Cap de Formentor to the lighthouse. It also gets busy with walkers, but the views are magnificent.
