One of Ibiza’s last unspoilt beaches, a long stretch of golden sand with turquoise water.

One of Ibiza’s “official” naturist beaches, Aguas Blancas attracts all types, not just nudists. So don’t be worried if you’re too shy to get naked (like me!), because this is one Ibiza beach you don’t want to miss. Beautiful, fine golden sand, huge rock formations in the sea you can dive off, little caves and coves off to the right you can explore and perfect water temperatures. It’s another beach that can get slightly choppy, but it’s pretty shallow for a long way out so quite safe. The perfect example of what locals are talking about when they say “the unspoilt north”.

Expert tips

There are two car parks, so as you turn into the road, take a right-hand turn at the hostel sign for the far right (my favourite part) or go straight down for the middle and the main restaurant.

There are two chiringuitos (beach restaurants) on the beach and both are great, offering options for all budgets.

Because of the height of the rocky cliffs behind it, a large shadow begins to fall over the beach at around 6pm so factor that into your schedule – you’ll see beachgoers edging forward trying to make the most of the last rays!

I like to spend the day at Aguas Blancas then as the sun fades, head over to Benirras to catch the sunset – the perfect northern afternoon.
