Ibiza’s one and only water park – a great day out for families with young kids.

Don’t be surprised to see scores of kids and families heading into the car park of the world-famous Ibiza nightclub Space – they’re not trying to sneak in the back entrance! Rather, they’re headed straight for Aguamar, the island’s only aquatic theme park, located directly behind the club. It features seven water slides, ranging from a rolling eight-lane affair to a tubular two-person slide known as “The Black Hole”, picnic areas, cafeteria, paddle pools and play equipment for kids. The park is a little faded round the edges, but I’ve never met a little one who didn’t love it! Lifeguards are always on duty.

Price advice

Kids aged 12 and under 9 euros (must be accompanied by an adult), kids over 12 and adults 17.50 euros. Lockers and sunbeds 5 euros each.

Expert tips

The park doesn’t open on overcast or rainy days (not that we have many here!) but if you’ve pre-booked tickets you can use them any time.

The slides are quite tame by modern theme-park standards, and queues move quickly, making the park more suited for families with young kids.

There’s a restaurant and cafeteria. However, you can also bring your own food and drink for the picnic areas at the rear of the park.

Passouts are available, meaning you can pop across the road to the beach for a swim or out for lunch then return before 6pm.
