A formidable art history lesson in a Victorian glasshouse.

This handsome museum and art gallery, built by a beer magnate, has much to offer, from the excellent collecton of classical statuary - Roman, Greek and Etruscan - to a valuable selection of Impressionist and 19th-century French masterpieces from the likes of Gauguin, Monet and van Gogh, plus some rare Degas bronzes.
