Exquisite Art-Nouveau mansion.

Hôtel Hannon is the best Art-Nouveau residence in Brussels. The corner house originally belonged to engineer Edouard Hannon (1853—1931). He invited friend and architect Jules Brunfaut to design the entire building — inside and out — in Art Nouveau style, just as the fashion was entering its final period of popularity. The hotel’s most famous feature is the staggering fresco in the entrance hall painted by Paul-Albert Baudouin.
Nothing was overlooked: even the furniture and stained-glass windows are Art Nouveau.

Nowadays, the house is used by Espace Contretype to present contemporary photography exhibitions, but they realise you’ll probably be visiting just to gawp at the interior.
