Impressive wetlands that form the largest, and most important bird sanctuary in the Balearics.

This extensive area of marshland, dunes and waterways was given Natural Park status in 1988 taking up much of the area behind the bay that runs between Can Picafort and Alcudia. It has three main trails – all of them clearly marked – which makes for great cycling, six hides for watching the birdlife, and access to the reed beds. Look out also for the wild ponies and cattle that also graze the area.
