The shopping in Santa Eulalia is not much to write home about to be honest, though the main highway heading into the town is a good place to find unusual furnishings, homewares and antiques – not really convenient holiday purchases though, are they? You’ll see Sluiz (Carretera Ibiza/Santa Eulalia, KM4.5, Santa Eulalia, 07819; +34 971 800 005, www.sluiz-ibiza.com) on the right hand side as you’re driving from Ibiza Town and it’s definitely worth a stop, as they have plenty of smaller knick knacks, plus cool jewellery and fashion as well as furniture.
If you’re in the area, check out the Es Cana Hippy Market (though I’d recommend making a beeline for the biggest and best, Las Dalias – see Shopping in San Juan for details), and at night you’ll find street stalls selling all types of trinkets along Las Ramblas.
If you’re missing any creature comforts from home, whether it’s a type of teabag, chocolate or your favourite washing powder, the White Island Corner Shop (Calle de Juan Tur, Edificio Punta de Mayol, Local 9, 16, Santa Eulalia, 07840; +34 971 338 832) is like an English corner store offering pretty much everything you might be craving to stash in your hotel room – it even stocks Vegemite for Aussies like me!
