Benalmadena has three distinct districts (Costa, Arroyo del Miel and the Pueblo, or old town) and each one has a variety of gift stores, clothes, jewellery and accessory shops, delis, bakeries etc, yet there is no one main retail hub. The closest area in terms of this would be Arroyo de la Miel. Here, the main street, Avenida de Consitución, is lined on both sides by fashion and shoe shops, and souvenir outlets amongst the cafés and terrace bars. Most of the streets leading off this main road, especially the pedestriansied ones, offer abundant shopping opportunities.
That said, street markets are big business in Benalmadena. The most important ones are on Friday mornings in the car park at the Tivoli World theme park, and on the fairground near Paloma Park. Both start at 9am and finish at 2pm.
