One of Lanzarote’s oldest resorts is also its most sedate in terms of nightlife. It tends to attract families and older couples and the range of evening entertainment on offer reflects this. You may find yourself drinking a glass or two of local wine and perhaps taking in some live entertainment.
Nightlife in Costa Teguise is pretty low-key, although there are a wide number of bars - both local and international style - to choose from. The main hotels are also worth seeking out for evening entertainment. There are a number of casual bars, English-style pubs and sports bars dotted throughout the resort but concentrated around Pueblo Marinero and Avenida Islas Canarias. Saxo's (Avenida del Jabillo) is a good, honest family-style pub with entertainment that is very popular. Some of the larger hotels, such as the Gran Melia (Avenida Islas Canarias, s/n; +34 0808 234 1953; www.solmelia.com) and the Gran Meliá Salinas have a lively entertainment programme, including cabaret and live music, which non-residents can enjoy.
