In a word, Deià is probably not the kind of place you want to base yourself if you’re a keen night owl. Nocturnal activities, such as they are, are fairly low key. It is, however, one of the most romantic hideaways on the island for lovers – young and old - who like to watch the sun go down (these are some of the most glorious sunsets on the island), eat beautiful food, drink fine wine and finish up with a nightcap watching a horizon where stars graze the sea.
One notable exception to this rule is Sa Fonda (C/Arxiduc Lluis Salvador 5, no phone). One of the more casual social hubs in Deià, it’s a great little bar for a cold beer and a superb venue for live-music. If you’re lucky you might even get to brush shoulders with one of the many celebrities it attracts who are holidaying nearby.
