Food and drink
The menu features a great choice of seafood and meat dishes, such as crvena riža sa škampima (red rice with scampi), tatar od tune sa mariniranim celerom (tuna tartar with marinated celery) and juneći file u umaku od prošeka i zelenog papra na posteljici od riže (veal fillet with a sweet wine and green pepper sauce, served on a bed of rice). They also do some exquisite desserts and have an extensive choice of quality wines, which can be ordered either by the bottle or by the glass.
You can’t really go wrong with the seafood here.
With its chic dining room with polished wooden floors and minimalist furnishing, Kadena attracts a stylish clientele of wealthy locals and foreign sailing people. However, I prefer the waterside terrace – where it's perfectly calm and relaxed, with the island of Brač rising in the distance.
The waiting staff are friendly, professional and multilingual, and include an excellent sommelier.
Close to the [node:171171], above the coast, it's a five-minute taxi ride or a 20-minute walk east of the old town.
Expect to pay in the region of 700 kuna for a lavish three-course meal for two, with wine.
