Food and drink
The food is as intriguing as the establishment’s name. The award-winning chef makes, frankly, sensational food. Personal highlights include scotch egg tapas and pancetta-wrapped chicken served with polenta mash.
A traditional brass bar, exposed brickwork and sturdy wooden furniture give it a homely feel. Older expats flicking through the Sunday papers chat away with holidaymakers flicking through their guidebooks.
The staff are casual, yet smart and polite.
It's down a small side street just off the main drag, Paseo Levante.
It's not overly priced, which makes a nice change for this part of the coast. A two-course dinner will cost around 22 euros a head.
