Super slow-cooked carrilladas and authentic caipirinhas – check it out!

Owner and chef Claudia Rezende is from Brazil and boasts of making the best caipirinha in Seville (I've yet to try one). But what I can vouch for is that she is very hardworking and takes great care with all the food prepared, which is obvious from the first bite.

Food and drink

You really shouldn't leave without trying the totally melt-in-your-mouth carrilladas (pig's cheeks) which Claudia slow cooks on a very low temperature for NINE hours. Other personal favourites are the spicy chicken wings served in a rich soya sauce with black sesame seeds and the five-cheese potatoes. Wine prices are a bit higher than usual to compensate for keeping the food prices low.

Ambience

It's cosy, modern and welcoming. There are also a few tall tables outside for stand-up tapas.

Service

Service is personable and efficient. Spanish, French, English and Portuguese are all spoken.

Location

It's centrally located, about five minutes from the main shopping area.

Price advice

Tapas are very reasonably priced from 3-4 euros. Wine by the glass is a bit higher than usual at 3 euros, I am told in order to keep the food prices down. It's worth it.
