Food and drink
With more than 40 different varieties of locally made gelato to choose from, it would be churlish not to have the orange flavour given the closeness of the orange valley, which you’ll have come through if you took the train to get here. If I’m feeling particularly greedy I like to combine mine with a scoop each of bitter chocolate and almond.
There is a pleasant, garden terrace out back where you can sit and dream as you tuck into all this creamy goodness. Most people, though, take theirs to go.
The hosts are smiling and benevolent, and particularly kind to children.
Sa Fàbrica de Gelats is opposite the municipal market in Sóller.
A scoop of ice-cream costs 2 euros.
