Food and drink
The food is fresh and the menu is split into two sections: snacks and plates. As the names suggest, the portions are significantly larger for the plates. But all dishes emphasize flavor and craftsmanship.
The best dishes marry seasonality and innovative seasoning. I liked the white anchovy and salt cod fritters; my friends, the spring pea soup with sea scallops and foie gras and the Berkshire pork belly with fingerling potatoes. I also loved the hamachi snack. Wish it was a bigger portion.
Antiques and votive candles create an inviting and homey atmosphere, which is reflected in the food and the crowd. The eatery is usually filled but never noisy or boisterous. It's a great place to take a date.

Depending on whether you order several snacks as your main course or a plate or two, dinner for two costs about $90. If you want to save a bundle, head to the restaurant for Saturday brunch which is only $20 per person.
