4.4

Tasty Italian cuisine in a stylish setting in the heart of happening Chueca.

The pale pine slats on the wall and ceiling create a contemporary, informal environment in this popular restaurant. People (well, me) come back again and again for authentic Italian food that always hits the spot. There are only eight tables inside, but it’s more fun to sit outside in the square if it’s warm enough.

Food and drink

There are some great dishes on the menu here. I love the aubergine, tomato, mozarella salad, and the black fetuccine with sea urchins. Mind you, the ravioli with pecorino and pear and the tortellini with pumpkin and mushrooms are yummy too.

Ambience

Gay, straight, tourists, locals, fashionistas… this is a very Chueca sort of place.

Service

Waiters are happy to help with menu questions.

Location

The Plaza de Chueca is the centre of Madrid’s gay/trendy area – pretty lively in other words.

Price advice

The fixed price lunch is excellent value at 10.80 euros for three courses with a glass of wine or other drink. Pizzas and pasta dishes are around 10-12 euros.
