Chorizo fans won’t want to miss the home-made chorizo in dishes such as the choriqueso taco, which features the sausage rolled in browned cheese. I love cochinita pibil, where pork is marinated in achiote and orange juice before grilling, and almost always order a tamarind agua fresca to accompany. The dessert list could be more enticing, but do you really need anything more than churros with toffee sauce?
Light and breezy, thrumming with locals, American expats and other people au fait with Mexican food.
A little more slickness would be appreciated.
