Food and drink
There's a vast selection of food to take you through the day, and it's all reasonably priced. For breakfast, there's a good selection of cooked, continental and healthy options, lunch is a choice between salads, burgers, pizzas or breakfast items, and dinner is where it really smartens up with fish and meat main dishes and shellfish and gazpacho soup for starters.
The legendary Sunday brunch is the most fun, though. Served poolside 10am-4pm to guests in their pyjamas, there's everything from sandwiches and sushi to the "white trash" platter (a heap of corn bread, coleslaw, rubs and and waffles).
The junk food platter is one of the most popular dishes at brunch: a plate of snowballs, candyfloss, cookies, rice krispie cakes and "hostess cakes".
Very trendy - it's for the party set. People dress up to the nines and everyone's checking each other out.
Kerry Simon's waitresses are notoriously stunning, but that doesn't stop them being nice, too.
In Palms Place - the posh, private-feel hotel on the side of the Palms, which is party central. It's a five minute drive off the Strip.
Pretty reasonable for what it is - breakfast dishes start at US$4, while mains hover around US$15 for lunch and start at US$22 for dinner.
