Food and drink
It’s Mediterranean menu with international flair – think spices, gourmet twists on tradition and above all, the highest quality fare.
The Argentinean fillet steak is famous around the world – I know Brazilians who’d denounce their own prime beef for it! Served with an amazing mushroom mashed potato, it’s not a huge portion so thankfully you have room for more! The Caprese salad uses fresh buffalo mozzarella flown in from Italy, the vegetarian platter with cous cous and eggplant mousse is divine and dessert is truly decadent – I love the cheesecake (it’s hard to find good cheesecake in Ibiza) and the home made chocolate mousse.
It’s like falling down the rabbit hole into Wonderland! KM5 is full of weird, wacky and wonderful characters, beautiful people, celebrities and the party pack, which means on any given night anything could happen. Famous for outlandish parties that go on until all hours, expect the unexpected is my advice… and mingle, because you never know who you’ll meet along the way.
While the service is always with a smile, KM5 gets really, really busy as the night goes on, and understandably the service can get a little slow around these times.
It’s hard to spot KM5 if you don’t know where you’re looking, though thankfully the name is a dead giveaway as to its whereabouts. Sitting on the 5th kilometre of the San Jose Road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio, the façade of the old finca gives no clue as the amazing mini-complex that lies behind it.
KM5 can be around 50 euros per person with entrees and mains, though depending on your choice of wine it can be much more! Without starters however, you could have dinner for two for around 60 euros.
Tables to book
For special occasions, book one of the special hammam tents, otherwise I like to be surprised – everywhere within KM5 is just gorgeous!
