It's as much about the party as it is about the food - but they're both great.

This is a very Hong Kong restaurant, catering largely to the city's jeunesse dorée who appreciate good food and drink and are not shy about paying for it. And they're just as taken by the view as a first-time visitor.

Food and drink

There is a grand selection of alcohol in all its many shapes, so much so that some patrons seem to dispense with the idea of food. The kitchen pretty much spans the globe, more Western than anything but always brilliantly cooked and finely served.

Ambience

All the finance chaps (and chapesses) glide out of the ifc office tower and straight here to invest part of the day's earnings in F&B. Very much a party place, with corks popping and general celebrations. Expect loudish music.

Service

In line with the location, it's really tip-top.

Location

Yes! It's on top of ifc mall, with the city behind you and the harbour laid out in front. The podium's dotted with several bars and restaurants, as well as pubic seating, so it's a very democratic recreational space.

Price advice

You're probably looking at more than HK$500 per head, assuming you're eating more than two courses.

Tables to book

Sit outside on the podium - it's sensational on a summer's evening.
