The logical conclusion to a session at Stanley Market is right here.

This used to be a Dracula-style mock house of horror eatery - then the owners came to their senses and transformed it into a breezy harbour-side Mediterranean restaurant: eating (and drinking) here is fun.

Food and drink

Seafood ranks high on the menu, which also extends to the likes of African chicken and Alaskan king crab legs. There is no shortage of beverage choices either.

Recommended dishes

Try the seafood bucket with white wine garlic cream sauce.

Ambience

There is a bar on the ground floor, and tables upstairs. There's a nautical feel here - induced by both décor and location. The rooftop tables positively sing. I ate Christmas lunch (or was it supper? It was dark when we finished, anyway) here one year and look back on it as one of my best ever Dec 25s.

Service

Service is perfectly in sync with Boathouse's Mediterranean theme.

Location

It's on Stanley's seafront, between the traditional market and the newly-built (and well worth avoiding) shopping plaza.

Price advice

It's about HK$700-800 for two; feel free to speak out if you object to the charity levy (it's only HK$1, mind you).

Branches

Pier 7, above Star Ferry in Central, is its sister restaurant.
