Food and drink
The Grill Room’s prime steaks are dry-aged for tenderness and flavour and are hand cut on the premises daily, ensuring they’re fresh and worth every pound. The menu promises well-marbled 16oz bone in rib eye steak, 14oz Kansas City style bone in strip sirloin steak, Popeseye and fillet steaks and double cut fillet mignon. If you can find a better steak in Glasgow I’ll turn vegetarian. Token poultry, fish and vegetarian dishes complete the menu – although that’s not really why you’d go is it?
The 36oz Porterhouse Steak, for two people to share, is a prime cut incorporating the sirloin and the fillet head. I don’t think this is ideal territory for a first date – especially not with a vegan or vegetarian – but oh-my-God it looks incredible.

Award winning. Be prepared to pay from the hip or get someone else – ideally your boss – to cover the hefty bill.
Overlooking Royal Exchange Square, this is one of the city’s premier addresses.
Expensive. Take a credit card and a good sense of humour.
