Food and drink
The restaurant is run by the Roca brothers of the three Michelin-starred [node:172213] in Girona and is suitably top notch with an emphasis on seasonal produce. Last time I visited I had a slow cooked sea bass with artichokes, which was excellent, followed by an exquisite ‘chocolate tower’ with strawberries and pistachio ice cream. They’re also very proud of having an extensive wine list here with a wide choice at every price level and style. The sommelier we had was also very good at suggesting what would work best with our food.
This is formal, special occasion dining and your fellow diners are most likely to be businessmen, hotel guests or couples.
Service is prompt and not too obsequious which is always good.
As above, it's in the basement of the AC Palau de Bellavista, up a steep hill atop Girona’s old town.
This isn’t a cheap lunch or night out by any means although the four-course seasonal menu is not bad value for 39 euros. A la carte main courses are between 24-34 euros.
