Dax Cafe Bar is a classy and affordable newcomer off Dublin's 'Golden Mile'.

A newbie in the Merrion Square area, Dax Cafe Bar is a cheaper option to the popular Dax restaurant downstairs. I was pleasantly surprised by its low prices, warm cafe atmosphere and friendly service.  Safely tucked away in a beautiful Georgian townhouse, it's a refreshing option in this upmarket (and pricy) corner of Dublin.

Try the tapas for the best value.

Ambience

It's warm and classy, enticing you to stay for just one extra drink after lunch....naughty!

The service is French bistro-style, super friendly and informal.

It's off Merrion Row, on Pembroke Street.

Price advice

Lunch for approximately 10 euros is fantastic value in this setting.

Tables furthest from the bar, by the window, are the cosiest.
