Food and drink
It's mainly French here, with an excellent selection of steaks as well. Like the setting, it's all served somewhat majestically. There's a hearty wine collection as well.
I've been several times to the exquisite Friday brunch, definitely among the more sophisticated of the many hundreds of brunches across Dubai. This gives you a great chance to sample everything, with the buffet table laden with beautifully-prepared meats, salads, oysters and other delights.
With low-lighting, mahogany and creams, this is a rather high-brow setting, helped considerably by the views across the creek. As such, it's a popular with couples, but also tourists staying in the Park Hyatt. The Friday brunch attracts a broad spread of Dubai life.
Excellent, a perfect mix of attentive and helpful without being too intrusive.
Traiteur is nestled in the white-walled Mediterranean-style bliss of the Park Hyatt, on the 'other' side of the creek from most Dubai landmarks. Don't worry, it's easy to get to. Perched high up, it overlooks the water, with views across to the park on the other side.
It's not particularly cheap, and a meal for two will probably cost in the region of 600-900 dirham, depending on how you're drinking.
Tables to book
It's laid out so that all tables have an enviable positioning, but it's worth a window seat for the views across the creek.
