Food and drink
As the name suggests, the theme here is meat. Meat however you like it (unless it's pork). From ribeye and sirloin beef to ostrich and chicken livers, anyone with carnivorous tendencies should be satisfied at this no-frills one-stop meat stop. There's even wagyu, if you want to go all lah-di-dah. Vegetarians, sadly, aren't entirely forgotten, with a few options for non-believers (fish?). But they really should be going elsewhere.
At only 180 dirhams, this is one of the cheapest places in town to try wagyu beef.
You're in the middle of a shopping centre, so it's fairly noisy, lacking sunlight and generally crowded with shoppers. But once you're tucking in to a juicy steak, this will all blur into the background.
Cheery and attentive.
The Butcher Shop and Grill is in the huge Mall of the Emirates shopping centre, about a hundred or so metres from the ridiculous indoor ski slope, Ski Dubai, and just around the corner from the Kempinski Hotel.
Most mains cost between 60 and 120 dirhams.
There's a very nice branch offering alfresco seating at The Walk, between the Jumeirah Beach Residence and the beach in the Dubai Marina. It's actually nicer than this one, but I selected it because you're more likely to find yourself in Mall of the Emirates.
