Food and drink
It's fairly basic stuff, with a sizeable selection of sandwiches, salads and baked potatoes. While the quality might not be up there with Dubai's more luxurious five-star eateries, the sizes are extremely generous.
The salad bowls are absolutely enormous and well worth an investigation. Finish things off with a delicious Arabic coffee, perfect for the serene setting.
It's so relaxed here you'll sometime wonder whether it's actually open or not. Probably the most chilled cafe in Dubai and mainly popular with tourists.
Not its strong point, sadly. While the atmosphere is relaxed, this can also be said for the service, which can be somewhat slow. It'll probably take you several goes to get the bill. But this is no reason not to come down.
The cafe sits in a courtyard, just off the main road in the heart of the Bastakiya area of Dubai, next to the creek and a few seconds walk from the Dubai Museum.
A meal for two will cost between 50 and 200 dirhams.
