Food and drink
Are you hungry? Good news, the menu is bountiful and covers all meat, fish, veggie and vegan options. Chinese and Thai all the way, my advice would be to pick as many dishes as possible and share between your friends.
Mongolian spare ribs and stuffed lettuce rolls are a wise option for starters. Never dismiss the crispy duck pancakes, and be sure to say hello to any of their sticky, sinfully sweet satay dishes.
Downstairs has a more intimate, cosy feeling while the brightly lit, open plan dining area upstairs is great for parties and often home to many local Chinese families popping in for their supper.
Service is always attentive and friendly, they have a good memory for regular visitors.
Phoenix Garden can be found slap bang in the middle of Crwys Road, about 20 minutes walk from the city centre.
Phoenix Garden is reassuringly reasonable. There’s no worrying ‘all you can eat’ offers and set meals start at £13.80.
