Food and drink
Sushi, seafood, noodles and grills are served, and there is a seafood-friendly wine list.
I'm a fan of bites from the Japanese kitchen here and I struggle to order anything beyond the rainbow roll reloaded - they're that good. That said, there are dim sum to choose from, noodles and the fabulous soft shell crab with pinzu sauce is delectable. Some say their rock shrimp tempura are the best in the city. Despite the extensive menu, simple eats like their battered fish and chips are very, very good.
This busy spot is crammed to the hilt most lunch and dinner times. I love that I feel as comfortable popping in for a bite on my own, on movie and date night or with a bunch of girlfriends for a gossip.
The service here is quick and efficient but can be stretched.
In the V&A Waterfront.
Average main courses and signature sushi and Japanese kitchen offerings are 75 rand.
