Hippie-chic vibe with food grown out of the farm-to-plate philosophy.

Sisters Maria and Teresa Solivellas are ladies on a mission. To showcase the best of the islands gastronomic heritage by using only vegetables grown on the family plot, sourcing all other products from local farms, and following traditional recipes.

Food and drink

The tasting menu changes weekly to reflect the seasons; Majorcan ‘coca’ – the Catalan equivalent of a pizza – with caramelized onions and wild mushrooms for example in Autumn. The girls also make their own olive oil, vinegar, jams and chutneys. It’s all tasty, honest fare, but the portions are a little small.

Ambience

The small, brightly painted dining room glows with warmth and bonhomie. Nice for a low-key celebration.

Service

While Maria cooks, Teresa runs a tight ship front-of-house engaging customers in their food philosophy and explaining the dishes with irresistible passion.

Location

Caimari is a small village nestled in the foothills of the Tramuntana. Good to combine with a walk.

Price advice

The six course tasting costs €26 not including wine or taxes.
