Food and drink
There is a big choice of fresh fish - grilled sardines, mussels, fried anchovies, octopus and hake - as well as snails, lamb and pig’s feet. My cod carpaccio was especially good, as were the sardines. Don’t come expecting gourmet cuisine – it’s not that kind of place. It is fresh though and much better value than any of the seafront restaurants.
It's nearly always packed with locals for lunch and dinner with nary a tourist in sight.
The staff are friendly and efficient.
It's about a five to ten minute walk from the cinema museum and the main city shopping area.
The menu of the day is nine euros.
