Food and drink
The emphasis is on traditional Hungarian cuisine; this is a good place to sample classics like goulash soup, Hortobágy pancakes and veal stew with dumplings. Save some space for a strudel dessert.
In keeping with its focus upon good old-fashioned values, the restaurant is decked out like a middle-class dining room of the 1920s, with panelled walls, net curtains and a big wooden dresser. However, there’s also a large outdoor terrace, and the whole atmosphere is comfortable and laid back.
The all-female waiting staff are attentive and efficient.
