Food and drink
This being a dining-in-the-dark type of restaurant, the idea is that you will make use of your other senses to fully experience the food. Therefore, you choose between a very vague but tasty menu – beef, chicken, seafood or vegetarian – presented in a kind of riddle before going into the dining room to eat. You are told the exact contents of your meal once you are finished. Dishes are prepared to order and use fresh produce from the day’s market but can be a little unimaginative. All menus include an appetizer, soup and dessert and there is a separate bar if you want to have a drink first.
The pitch-dark dining room can feel unnerving at first, but it doesn’t take long to relax; the giggles from fellow diners will help put you at ease. All lights, including mobile phones, watches and lighters, are forbidden.
All staff are blind or visually impaired and offer attentive service, so that you will not be left alone groping in the dark. If you need to go anywhere, just call your waiter to assist.
Meals cost between 36.50- 53.50 euros.
