4.5

One of the best places in Berlin to sample French haute cuisine.

For my money, Margaux is one of the nicest places to eat in Berlin. It's an elegant restaurant with a wonderful menu that stretches from re-worked French classics to excellent vegetarian dishes, and the wine list is particularly good too.

His dishes include such things as stewed shoulder of venison seasoned with coriander, anise and saffron, and lobster with black Perigode truffles. All dishes are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and immaculately presented. The wine list includes around 30 Château Margaux vintages, for which the restaurant is named.

The showy, modern interior is spacious and features back-lit honey-hued onyx walls and black marble floors.
