Ideas for new guides

by Jeanette.Scott

The site is still less than six months old and we already have an incredible range of travel guides covering the world’s best destinations. But we need more - especially to areas that we know Simonseeks users want to learn more about.

These guides are proving to be the best earners too, so if you know somewhere on our wish list inside out, and you can make the sort of recommendations that our readers can rely on, or you can inspire them with interesting suggestions, then please get writing.

Take a look at our top earning guides and advice blog too. This cites examples of some of the top earners, the reasons why they’re doing well and tips to optimise your own earning potential.

You’ll find our wish list for new guides below. This is by no means exhaustive but it offers an indication of the hotspots that readers are searching for every day on Simonseeks:

City break destinations:

We have good coverage in these areas but more in-depth guides are needed. Themed guides work especially well for big cities because general destination guides usually only scratch the surface. Think budget hotel guides; shopping guides; guides on nightlife, the best restaurants, best bars; Paris (or any other city) for children; New York (for example) for music lovers, etc.

New York
South of France

Ski resort guides are hugely popular at this time of year and more are welcome.

Simonseeks users are also interested in winter sun destinations, including:

Gran Canaria
La Gomera
Egyptian Red Sea resorts

We’d also like to see more guides on the Spanish Costas.

We are pleased to tell you we are on top of the backlog of guides that we experienced after the launch date. Guides are now being edited within five days of submission. We will endeavour to keep to this standard, but please bear with us if there is a slight delay, especially if you submit your guide at the start of the weekend.

We’d like to thank you for your patience and the support you continue to show to Simonseeks.

As always, we’d be delighted to hear what you think. Please leave a comment below.
