On the end of the little row of hotels and restaurants that front onto Xlendi Bay. In summer no cars pass between the hotel and the water, the area being given over to tables, chairs and pedestrians. There is only a tiny sandy beach here but plenty of rocks to lie on and perfect swimming and snorkelling (for adults and children). There are also several dive schools nearby, including two of the longest established: St Andrew’s Divers Cove and Moby Dives.
There are 28 bright, clean twin rooms. Not large but pleasant with tiled floors, en suite bathrooms with both bath and shower, individually controlled air conditioning and central heating, plus a balcony. The best, of course, have glorious views of the bay.
The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere. Public areas are simple but attractive and the fifth floor lounge and terrace overlook the bay. The only downside is the lack of a swimming pool, but given the proximity of Xlendi Bay that is rarely a problem.
Eating and drinking
The food is good (and decent value) and the restaurant spills out onto the sea front in summer. Breakfast is a fresh cold buffet that changes daily with cooked a few euros extra.
