Right on the seafront, so the beach is less than a minute’s walk from your room. Other beaches like Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell are also only a short drive away or a within less than an hour’s walk along the rugged and spectacularly scenic coastal path.
Spacious rooms (17 double and one single) have nautical blue-and-white striped bedspreads. There are six with fabulous sea views, as well as a penthouse. All the rooms have air-conditioning, TVs, and tea/coffee-making facilities.
A small, homely lounge on the ground floor has grey sofas, a fireplace, TV and DVD, books and various board games like Ludo and Scrabble. The framed photos of the owner family’s grandparents add to the personal feel. There’s also free WiFi throughout the hotel.
Eating and drinking
A buffet breakfast is served in the smart, hotel restaurant which looks directly out to the seafront. There’s a good selection of coffee, tea and herbal teas, cold cuts, fresh fruit, rolls, pastries and jams and a boil-your-own eggs gadget.
The restaurant is also one of the smarter, more formal options along the seafront for lunch or dinner with a mix of local specialities, rice dishes (paella etc) and international classics like steak and chateaubriand (served with foie gras and sherry).
Incredibly friendly and helpful. You feel like you're one of the family.
