Location

I love staying with friends here because it's so centrally located. There's easy access to the designer label shops, lively nightlife and good restaurants of Playa de Las Américas, but the complex is on a quiet headland, which means you get the best of both worlds. It's a five-minute stroll along the promenade to the lovely El Camisón beach.

Bedrooms

Two-storey apartments are uniformly fresh white, with Mediterranean-style colour themes and pine modern furnishings. They have everything you need to be completely self-sufficient - they are fully equipped with galley style kitchens, have roomy, sunny balconies, a large dining room/lounge area, and upstairs a bedroom and bathroom. Balconies are large enough to accomodate a table and four chairs for al fresco dining overlooking the pools.

Public areas

Canarian-style balconies, courtyards and gardens are kept spotlessly clean and fresh. Walkways connect apartment blocks which are located around garden courtyards created in typical Canarian style. The apartments are surprisingly quiet at night so you get a good restful sleep. Even by day, the pools have always been very tranquil when I've been there.

Eating and drinking

On site is the Ucanca chiringuito (beach bar), which serves snacks, ice cream and tapas from its pretty, poolside terrace. There’s an elegant little café on the promenade-facing edge of the complex serving breakfasts and mixed grill meals. Close by the main entrance is the popular La Rana restaurant and a stroll into the Safari Centre takes you to a range of good eateries.

Leisure facilities

Beautifully landscaped, palm-filled gardens surround two lake-sized swimming pools and sun bathing terraces in César Manrique-style blinding white with black, volcanic boulders.

Service

The on-site reception is friendly and professional and a good source of local information. Any issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively.

Who stays there

Mainly British visitors and owners. As it’s the most expensive of the complexes, there tend to be fewer families than in Parque Santiago 1 to 3.
