Relaxing and Professional Accomodation with a Riverside View

Kadashevskaya Hotel is a small and cosy spot, which has been providing business travellers and tourists with quality accomodation since 2009. Located near the Tretyakov Gallery, Kadashevskaya has great views over the river and is one of the quietest spots to stay in the city centre. Newly built, the facade is well designed to fit in with adjacent older buildings. And the area's two and three storey buildings certainly lend it more charm than some of the higher rise districts in the capital. With subtle yet contemporary design, Kadashevskaya is a great place for those who like low-key luxury or are coming to the Russian capital to get some work done.

Location

Kadashevskaya is located in a quiet and attractive part of town, central enough to offer good access to the Tretyakov Gallery and the Kremlin, yet tucked away from the bustle of the city's busier streets. The nearest metro station is a bit of a walk, but it would be a nice spot if you are arriving or leaving from Domodedovo airport, with the fast train to the airport leaving from nearby Paveletsky Station.

Bedrooms

The bedrooms at Kadashevskaya are decorated in muted brown and cream tones, with large comfortable beds and minimal fixtures providing a good andidote to the brash streets of central Moscow. The bulk of Kadashevskaya's rooms are aimed at single business travellers, but the five deluxe rooms and three suites are pleasant and spacious if you manage to get a reservation.

Public areas

The hotel's size means that there are limited public areas apart from the small lobby and restaurant, but these are both pleasant places to have a relaxed coffee or meal.

Eating and drinking

Kadashevskaya has a decent Italian restaurant, which is a nice place for couples looking for an intimate but laid-back meal. It is equally informal enough for lone travellers to feel comfortable dining alone or with a book or report for company. Room service is good, but only available between 7.00 and 23.00, so its best to make alternative plans for late dining and midnight snacks.

Leisure facilities

The hotel has a sauna and gym equipment, including cardio-machines and a weights bench. Open 24 hours, its size is dwarved by facilities in some of the city's larger hotels. On the plus side, you are relatively likely to have the place to yourself if you want to de-stress in peace.

Service

Service is good and unintrusive. Perhaps slightly better in the restaurant than in the hotel, the small number of guests allows staff to deal with most requests quickly and efficiently.

Who stays there

Businessmen, young couples, single travellers and people over-awed by the glitz of Moscow's alternative top-end accomodation, locals celebrating wedding parties and birthdays.

Price advice

Reasonably priced for central Moscow. Packages can be a good way of kick-starting your trip to Moscow, though room rates remain relatively stable.
