Right next to Hong Kong’s most modern expo centre (Asia World-Expo), in sight of the passenger terminal, and a short drive, ha ha, from the nine-hole Nine Eagles golf course.
More than 600 rooms and suites, using plenty of colour and rich wood tones. The technology plug-ins are commendably convenient and easy to use.
Understandably busy, given the amount of people using the hotel.
Eating and drinking
The sea (as opposed to harbour) views from The Lounge are refreshing. And Velocity Bar and Grill has numerous fans.
The golf course is the most obvious asset – no other hotel in Hong Kong can match it. And there’s also an 18-holer on Lantau at Discovery Bay. The indoor pool, spa and gym provide additional recreational support.
Smart, friendly and eminently satisfying.
Who stays there
Conventioneers and expo-ites are the obvious guests, plus post pop concert audiences.
Two other nearby hotels vie for expo- and airport-related business, so check rates for the best deal.
