On th south side of the city but not out of the way at all. Just across the road from The Festival Theatre and, in addition to [node:171369], the National Musems are minutes away. Princes Street and The Royal Mile are also no more than a three-minute taxi ride. Bars and restaurants are also plentiful around here. It has everything you need on your doorstep.
The 78 rooms come in three different categories, depending on size and how much you want to pay. They are fairly standard in their decor. There is exactly what you need but no more, and value like this is hard to beat.

Generally good but there have been rumblings of slowish service. I shall report back. You could do a lot worse.

- Quiet though central
