Set against the coast between Jumeirah and the Dubai Marina, the One&Only is well located for many of Dubai’s hotspots. The Mall of the Emirates is just a few minutes drive away, while the Downtown Burj Dubai area is just about 15 minutes more. There are hundreds of excellent restaurants and bars within a few minutes drive of the hotel. A taxi to the airport will probably take around 25-30 minutes.
The One&Only has three properties within its resorts, The Palace and the Arabian Court, plus the more exclusive Residence & Spa. The Palace’s standard Deluxe Rooms are warm and inviting, with a slight chintzy Arabic feel, plus private balcony or garden patio. The Deluxe Room in the Arabian Court has a slightly more modern touch, with subtler tones and also comes with a private balcony or patio. The Residence & Spa offers more luxury indulgence. Its basic Prestige Rooms overlook the hotel’s scented garden and feature intricately designed fabrics and colourful mosaics, alongside a rather lavish bathroom.
Almost as impressive as the rooms, the public areas of the hotel maintain the theme of Arabian splendour. There’s also a picturesque maze of pathways immersed in greenery that lead from the main entrance to the various parts of the sprawling resort.
Eating and drinking
There are seven dining options available across the One&Only’s various areas. Of note is Tagine, an award-winning Moroccan restaurant resplendent in North African designs, arches and alcoves. Out by the water, Eauzone is a good spot for seafood and, set on a mini island surrounded by pools, offers an outstanding evening setting, but you'll need to book ahead if you want the best waterside tables. And, as any Dubai-ite will tell you, The Rooftop Bar is perhaps the most romantic place in the city for a cocktail, set outdoors with subtle mood lighting and views of the Burj Al Arab. Many a knee has gone down and ring produced up here.
The One&Only boasts a kilometre-long private beach, with a wide array of water sports available, plus a collection of temperature-controlled pools throughout the resort. There’s also tennis courts and fitness centres plus the One&Only Spa, offering a wide-range of treatments, including an Oriental Hammam.
Very friendly and helpful.
