Star rating:
3 star hotel

4.4

Lanzarote’s best value all-inclusive, with top spa and leisure facilities.

As I entered the bright, friendly reception area, it was like walking into sunshine. The attractive, three-storey whitewashed buildings with racing green woodwork in local style snake around a large pool area. I loved this quiet, relaxing and immaculately clean hotel (the wonderful spa helps too). It's officially a three star, but much more like a four.

Location

On a busy main road with limited parking, a couple of blocks back from the beach and promenade.

Bedrooms

I love the brightly coloured, simple furnishings in the rooms, all of which have been recently renovated, so that on my last visit they all looked like new. All of the 'rooms' are actually apartments, with bedroom, terrace, kitchen, dining table and lounge with sofa bed (that can sleep an additional adult and child). It is worth asking for a room on the upper floor with pleasant views of the pool.

Public areas

The whole of the interior, even the bar and restaurant, has just been completely refurbished.

Eating and drinking

All-inclusive deals include breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as snacks and drinks. There food is good and excellent value on all-inclusives, although it can become a little repetitive and the pigeons at the pool bar are a bit of a problem.

Leisure facilities

The spacious pool area (one pool for adults and one for children) has mature trees and plants, and is particularly attractive. I, like most of the other guests, spent most of my stay here, although the contemporary spa, which has only recently been built, really should not be missed. Visitors can relax in the wet zone before choosing a treatment from the spa's extensive 'menu'.  There are tennis courts and a multisport court, as well as a gym. Activities on offer include everything from archery to water polo, and there is also a disco and kids’ club. Entertainment is rather a question of luck, and tends to start late, although the live music in the bar wasn’t bad the night I was there.

Service

The mostly young people who work here are Incredibly hardworking and friendly.

Who stays there

A lot of Brits, many with young families during the summer, as well as singles and couples of all ages.

Price advice

The all-inclusive deal is a real bargain, particularly during low season.
