A short drive to both the beaches of San Juan and the centre of Alicante, the hotel is set in its own ample grounds.
A variety of size and idiosyncrasy, depending whether they are in the old or new part. A very large suite has its own fireplace (as does one of the double superior bedrooms). All have a combination of modern furnishings mixed with family antiques, and most of them are very spacious. The junior suite has two separate rooms, one of which has a sofa bed.
The gardens are a delight, with a small orange grove and a terrace shaded by pine trees to take a cooling drink. There is an attractive lounge with rattan furniture and a fireplace for chilly evening. A peaceful library has a reasonable selection of books for the use of guests.
Eating and drinking
Breakfast, which is served in the indoor patio during summer months, is the only meal served. Drinks are limited to a vending machine.
A swimming pool with a large sun terrace and loungers, and a tennis court.
Friendly and helpful, but sometimes the only way you can find them is by ringing the bell on the reception desk.
