The best time to visit Capri

Capri is an island off the Neapolitan Riviera and, for the most part, my advice on When to go to Neapolitan Riviera will apply.

It should be noted that Capri pretty much closes down in October, which means you can get some great deals but you may not be able to eat at the restaurants you want to or visit the shops that you planned to and, most importantly, occasionally you may not even be able to get there at all. Ferries don't run from Amalfi or Positano when the seas are rough but they usually (but not always) run later into the winter season from Naples and Sorrento.
