I love visiting places, whether in Great Britain or farther afield. I am not an adventurous traveller by any means, preferring to travel to relatively secure places, although I would love to do an African safari. There is time yet!

I like to occasionally wander off the familiar tourist routes and get a feel of the locality and the people, although I have enjoyed many organised excursions where the knowledge of a guide has provided valuable information.
