Expert review of Toronto Music Garden

Music-themed waterfront park strikes the right notes

At first it might just look like a nicely laid out waterfront park, but it's got more depth once you realise that every flower bed, stalk and plat is laid out to correspond with a movement of music - from an allemande to a gigue. The Summer Music in the Garden series (run by the nearby Harbourfront Centre who also do a fun Tuesday evening outdoor movie series in summer) is rather charming - with (mostly classical) hour-long concerts given on Thursdays at 7pm and on Sundays at 4pm. It's a really nice lazy summer evening/afternoon option when you're tired of trotting about.

Expert tips:
Bring sunscreen during summer concerst - there's limited shade.
