Expert review of Evergreen Brickworks

Brickworks turned market and park

I was taken by surprise by Evergreen Brickworks, when I finally got round to visiting after living here for a couple of years. The farmer's market is small, but full of wholesome-looking fruits and vegetables. There's great coffee, some tasty ready-made food to snack on, and then there's all that former industrial wasteland now turned into a gorgeous series of ponds, trails and hills. Take a wee hike up to the high point just out the back of the main building - there are great city views. I usually take my coffee up here and it's an easy hike for young kids.
