Expert review of Valderrama Golf Course
This is the yardstick by which all other golf courses in Europe are measured.
This course, which has hosted the Volvo Masters, the Ryder Cup and the World Championships, is on every pro and amateur’s ‘must-do’ list. World renowned architect Robert Trent Jones designed this 18-hole huge championship course and even as a non-golfer I can appreciate the wonderful natural backdrop. Ancient oaks, wild olive trees, beautifully-created lakes and views down to the sea make this one of the most visually striking places to play golf anywhere on earth. My golfing friends tell me that it’s also one of the most difficult.
Price advice:
Green fee rates are 300 euros during the week and 320 euros at weekends. A buggy with GPS included is 60 euros for the day.
Expert tips:
Players can use the driving range for free 30 minutes before their tee time.
